Cummins QSB6.7 Diesel Engine
April 3, 2024The latest addition to the Cummins range of engines – 4.5L – 4 cylinder, 4-stroke diesel. Turbo charged and aftercooled.
Propulsion – Ratings from 150 to 250 bhp (Commercial – Heavy, Intermittent and Light Duy and Recreational – High Output)
Auxiliary – Prime ratings from 76 to 129 kW, 50 and 60 Hz
• EPA 3, IMO2, and EU Stage V emissions certifications at initial launch, with additional certifications to follow
• HX and KC versions available
• KC uses Single Loop cooling with both aftercooler and water jackets in same loop (one keel cooler per engine needed)
Lower ratings are non-aftercooled and turbocharged; higher ratings are aftercooled and turbocharged
Bosch HPCR fuel system, CM2350 ECM, SAE 3 flywheel housing.
Available with ‘deep or shallow’ sump
Supplied with Balancer Assembly

Engines are supplied with different ratings:
Heavy Duty (HD): Intended for continuous use in variable load applications with a load factor of 60–75 percent. Full power is limited to 10 hours out of every 12 hours of operation. Reduced power operations must be at or below 80 percent load.
Intermittent (INT): Intended for intermittent use in variable load applications with a load factor of 20–40 percent. Full power is limited to two out of every eight hours of operation. Reduced power operations must be at or below 80 percent load.
Light Duty (LD): Intended for intermittent use in variable load applications with a load factor of 10–30 percent. Full power is limited to one hour out of every eight hours of operation. Reduced power operation must be at or below 80 percent load.
