Cummins BT5.9 Marine Auxiliary – Prime ratings from 78 to 112 kW, 50 and 60 Hz. (Available only until the end of 2023). Ratings below 130kW are not subject to IMO emission regulations. 5.9L Inline, 6 cylinder, 4 stroke diesel.

• Fuel System – Rotary fuel pump with optional electronic governor for precise fueling and engine speed
• Cooling System – Single loop keel cooling or engine mounted heat exchanger available for simplified installation. Optional fan drive for radiator applications
• Exhaust System – Water cooled exhaust manifold reduces emissions and cools engine surface temperatures
• Air System – Cummins turbocharger optimized for marine applications. Jacket water aftercooled
• Lubrication System – Standard capacity (14.2 L [3.8 g]) oil pan available with rear, front or center sump for installation flexibility. Spin on Cummins lube filters
• Electronics – 24v standard electrical system with 12V option available
• Certifications – Marine Classification Society approvals from IACS members and SOLAS compliant configurations available; check with your local Cummins professional for a current list of certifications available on this engine

Prime Power: Engines with this rating are available for an unlimited number of hours per year in variable load applications. Variable load is not to exceed 80 percent of the rated power. A 10 percent overload capacity is available for a period of one hour within a 12 hour period of operation. Total operating time at the 10 percent overload power shall not exceed 25 hours per year. The power rating follows IS8528 guidelines.
Ratings below 130kW are not subject to IMO regulations.
